In December 2020, I completed a certification in Browzwear's Vstitcher software, which allows the user to simulate a completed garment from pattern making through stitching and styling.
Learning to render garments was a great experience and opened my mind to many possibilities for the future, not only in reducing waste but in fitting and replicating colorways exactly and easily looking at multiple possible style or pattern changes in the same file. I eagerly anticipate the adoption of this software across the industry in the future!
The program has infinite possibilities for creating and adjusting virtual garments, and allows designers to precisely control all the essential variables for garment creation, from fabric color and draping properties to garment shrink to model/dress form measurements.
